Talisay triathlon unfolds tomorrow

CEBU, Philippines - Some of Cebu's up and coming triathletes join the Talisaynons in commemorating the historic American landing in Talisay City through a triathlon race tomorrow morning.

The age-group categories to be contested are the 19-under, 20-29, 40-39, 40-49 and the mixed relay. They have to deal with a 1,000-meter swim, 30K bike and 7.5K run.

There will also be a special division for kids that include 10-under, 11-12 and 13-14 age brackets. They will compete in a 300m swim, 8K bike and 3K run.

Aside from loot bags and certificates of recognition, the top three winners in the adult division will receive cash prizes. The champion will pocket P5,000, while the second and third will get P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
