Pagara to risk clean slate vs. Thai

-

CEBU, Philippines - One of the country's young boxing prospects will once again be put to the test in the 13th edition of the top- rated boxing show 'Pinoy Pride'.

On March 24 at the Waterfront-Cebu City Hotel, Albert "The Prince" Pagara of the ALA Boxing Gym will be pitted with another foreign opponent in Thai Phupha Por Nobnou.

Pagara (10-0, 8KOs) will not only risk his unblemished record but will also try to prove that he is the next real thing in boxing against Nobnuo.

Pagara, who traces his roots from the southern Leyte town of Maasin, has been knocking out opponents put in front of him, showing his impeccable timing and devastating power. Boasting of an 80% KO percentage, his most recent victory came in three quick rounds against veteran opponent Louie Bantigue.

The flamboyant Pagara and his handlers are looking into giving Pagara a busy year. The future is bright for this 18-year-old fighter who only aspires to be the best he can be.

“I have always loved boxing and I only want to be the best in what I love. I am working hard and will continue to work hard to reach my ultimate goal of becoming world champion,” said Pagara.

On the fight night, everyone will know if Prince Albert’s stock continues to rise.

The Pagara-Nobnuo rumble is the second co-main feature of the "Pinoy Pride XIII" topbilled by AJ “Bazooka” Banal, who will defend his WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight title against Mexican Raul "El Bule" Hidalgo.  (FREEMAN)
