Grand & Jai arranges final duel with Steven Jocabz
CEBU, Philippines - Grand & Jai and Steven Jocabz elbowed out separate foes to set up a title showdown in the 4th F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) basketball tournament tonight at the Brgy. Tisa gym.
The topseeded Grand & Jai scored a 68-62 victory over the fourth-ranked Chariz & Caleigh, while the No.3 squad Steven Jocabz stunned the No.2 qualifier Simple Likes Barbecue Haus, 91-87.
Former UC Webmaster Daniel Enriquez paced Grand & Jai with 21 points, while Joven Baldago and Marnel Tomada chipped in 17 and 11 points, respectively.
Chissar Llegunas had 23 points for Chariz & Caleigh. Toper Lavandero and Eman Reubal had 11 points apiece in a losing effort.
On the other hand, Dexter Caballero topscored for Steven Jocabz with 26 points even as three others cashed in double digits.
The awarding ceremony will immediately follow after tonight's games.
