Air 21 douses TNT's hot streak
CEBU, Philippines - Parading a new import in Donnell Harvey doesn't do any good for the Talk 'N Txt Tropang Texters.
Last night, Talk 'N Txt saw its three-game winning run come to a sudden red stop after dropping a 78-87 decision to Air 21 Express in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Nelbert Omolon had a breakout game of 23 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks for Air 21, which raced to a 6-0 start. They never looked back after padding their lead to nine points, 25-16.
The Tropang Texters, who never had a taste of lead right from the start, pulled within three points, 66-69, but Air 21 countered with a seating 12-3 to practically wrap up the match, 81-69, with only 1:36 left to play.
Air 21, thus, snapped out of its two-game slump and evened its record to 2-2, while Talk ‘N Txt slipped to 3-1. - THE FREEMAN
