8 Cebu booters in initial roster of Little Azkals

CEBU, Philippines - Eight Cebuano booters are among the close to 70 talents from Visayas and Mindanao who made it to the initial roster of the Little Azkals.

They are Moiselle Alforque, Kintaro Miyagi, Lawrence Colina, Kenry Balobo, Vincent Lovitos, Major Dean Ebarle, Angelo Christian Ouano and Jose Marie Kwan of the Cebu Football Association (CFA). They were picked for their impressive showing during the Visayas Regional Festival of Football in San Carlos City last week.

Little Azkals head coach Oliver “Bingbing” Colina said they also spotted five potentials from Negros Oriental namely Yared Anton, Christian Lapas, Ian Daniel Eamague, Yosof Roman, and Phel Harritz Emmanuel Libatog.

Scouted from Negros Occidental and Iloilo were Mason and Shanden Vergara, Kristoper Caraballe, Paolo Rebadomia, Neil Tenebroso, Eduard Versario, Gabriel Mendoza, Ashly Pamilar, Vanlloyd Baguioro, Jed Delariarte, Adrian Guillergan, Ralph Reyna, Red Vincent Brilliantes, and Sherwin Merindad and Leyte’s Paul Eymard Lopez.

From Mindanao, 39 players made it to the initial list.

The last stop for the rigid selection process is on March 9 to 10 in Sta.Cruz, Laguna through the Luzon leg of the football festival. (FREEMAN)
