CEBU, Philippines - Jesse Arriola, Jr. is the man to beat in the second and final leg of the Oceanman Series on April 7 at the Sugar Beach Resort in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island.
Arriola dominated the first leg after registering the fastest time at 22 minutes and 57 seconds. He is competing under the men’s 15-19 category.
The rest of the top 10 cast in the overall standings who will plunge into the swim-run action are Hancel Bagano, Andre Paquito Pacheco, Donald Jack Gibb, Justin Chongbian, Jason Lorenz Lopena, Junn Ramon Alfonso Pacheco, Yuan Chongbian, Loveleinell Casidsid and John Paolo Lim.
The Oceanman was originally set for three legs, but the organizing Sugbutriathlon had to cancel its Siquijor leg due to time constraints.
The participants will have to deal with a total of four loops covering a 200-meter swim and 400m run per loop.
Those who register until March 9 will only have to pay P600. Late registrants will be assessed with P700 entry fee. (FREEMAN)
