CEBU, Philippines - The University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters pulled off a hard-earned 73-71 victory over former NCAA champion Philippine Christian University (PCU) Dolphins to stay alive in the 64th National Students Basketball Championships (NSBC) at the CSI Stadia in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
Sporting a 4-1 win-loss record, the Dolphins still have to hurdle their remaining two games against the Lyceum Pirates and the Jose Maria College-Davao to make it into the playoffs.
Robinson Mohammad topscored for the Webmasters with 18 points, while Arvin Kim Gomez and Edward Pao chipped in 17 markers apiece.
UC is currently at third in the standings behind the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Cardinals and JMC-Davao, which are both undefeated in five games.
