CEBU, Philippines - Mark Uy and two other cue masters all came up with a 5-0 whitewash of their respective foes to advance into the last 16 knockout stage of the1st Pacific Wings Farm Promotions 9-Ball Handicapping Tournament the other day at the 138 Mall Billiards Center along Colon Street, this city.
Uy whipped Mark Pacheco to join Shan Mark and Joey Enot into the next round. Shan Mark bested Marlon Wenceslao, while Enot triumphed over Brendo Cabido.
A total of P35,000 in cash prize is at stake for the top finishers of the of the five-fay tournament promoted by billiards patron Atty. Louie Arma.
The champion will pocket P14,000, while the second placer will receive P7,000. The third and fourth will get P3,500 and P2,500.
The fifth to eighth finishers will receive P1,000 apiece, while those who will make it to the last 16 but lost in the knockout stage are assured of P500 each.
