Lim's group takes lead in triathlon race series

CEBU, Philippines - Team Summit stayed on the driver's seat after two legs in the Summit Triathlon Team Championship Series.

Jose Merdino Lim, Kristian Cabahug, Vicente Escobido and Loveleinell Casidsid comprising Team Summit now stands with 115 points.

However, they are ahead by just one point over Team Reuben, which is manned by the multi-titled Noy Jopson, Joseph Miller and the father-and-daughter tandem of Tyrone and Rochelle.

Team Nfynear led by Ralph Arche currently runs third with 99 points, while Fish 18 Sport of the returning Chris Aldeguer occupies the fourth spot with 98 points.

Tribo, which placed second during the opening leg, dropped to fifth with 78 points followed by Tricore with 16.

The third and final leg will take place on April 8 in Bantayan Island. (FREEMAN)
