- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Vince Lominoque lived up to expectations as he snatched the unisex 10-under title of the Dunlop Sport Visayas Junior Tennis Series-Cebu leg at Cebu International Tennis Centre, Inc. (CITCI) courts in Consolacion yesterday.

Lominoque pulled off a 10-8 triumph over Gabriel Andre Trazo in the final to win the youngest class in the two-day event.

Cebu's tennis princess Sally Mae Siso, on the other hand, was just warming up when she rallied to a 10-6 triumph over Leyte’s Keiza Jabinez to lord it over in the girls 18-under category.

Not to be outdone, Arthur Craig Pantino came up with a 10-2 win over Manila’s Jerome Romualdez to claim the boys 14-under crown, while Joshua Kinaadman topped the boys 16-under division after outlasting Jarryd Laurel, 10-3.

Taiwan’s Patty Kuo made sure she won't go home empty-handed after clinching the girls 16 tiara following a 10-2 rout of Bohol’s Dawn Albert Uy.

Gener Francis Lambayan, one of the busiest players in the tournament having played in different classes, salvaged the boys 12-under plum after he edged out Marc Suson, his teammate at the University of San Carlos, Marc Suson, via a 10-7 decision.

Bright Academy’s Zethley Mae Alferez snared the girls 12-under title following a 10-7 victory over Joy Pogoy of Leyte, while Dave Mosqueda bagged the boys 18 crown after overpowering Jonel Pintor, 10-6,  during their final encounter. - THE FREEMAN
