UV hits back at SWU in Siargao friendly

CEBU, Philippines - The University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers lashed back at the Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras, 76-73, to level their two-game exhibition duel in Dapa, Siargao Island, Surigao City.

After dropping a 75-82 decision to the Cobras last Wednesday night, the Lancers readily bounced back and survived the 35-point combination of Cameroonians Mendjana Mbala and Justin Aboude.

Four UV players dished out twin figures led by Phil Mercader with 14 points. Vincent Mendoza added 13 markers, while Jerome Silva and Andrew Avillanoza connived for 22 points.
