Rugby season fires off Saturday

CEBU, Philippines - The 2012 season of the Cebu Rugby League will kick off this Saturday at the Aboitiz Sports field in Brgy. Subangdaku,Mandaue.

A new format for club matches will be introduced. This is being done not only to further hone the skills of local players but also to make up from the lack of expat players at the moment.

All players including the Dragons and Low Flyers will be pooled into three squads for the first action of the year.

 However, if there are enough Low Flyers to compose a team, a Dragons Challenge match might probably ake place.

The contending squads will play in a single round robin format. –(FREEMAN)
