Guiseppe blanks CEC in Aboitiz Cup football

CEBU, Philippines - Team Giuseppe scored a 3-0 whitewash of Cebu Eastern College to stay unbeaten after three starts in boys 12 division of the 14th Aboitiz Football Cup at the Aboitiz Sports field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

In the other boys 12 action, SFC coasted to its second straight victory after a 7-0 rout of MABES.

In the players 6, Giuseppe fought to a 1-1 draw with Canduman Dedon as well as against Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in players 10.

San Roque Football Club, on the other hand, logged its first win in the players 6 at the expense of Don Bosco Technology Center,1-0, while Bright Academy-A and Montessori-Canduman ended its game in a scoreless draw.

In the players 8 division, Bright Academy defeated SRFC, 1-0, Springdale bounced back from defeat by dumping DBTC-C, 5-9, while Canduman silenced DBTC-3,9-0.

In the players 10, DBTC-1 pummeled CIE-1, 12-0, while DBTC-5 whipped DFC, 7-0.

MTI and SHS-AdC opened their respective bids in the boys 14 on a winning note. MTI chalked upn a 3-0 triumph over CLF , while SHS-AdC pulled off a 2-0 victory against Blessed John.

In the lone girls 17 action, St.Theresa’s College-B outsmarted CIS in, 4-2 win.
