Adlawan scores moto-x double

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Jon-Jon Adlawan scored double victories in the 2011 MS Motosuit Motocross Series-2nd Mayor Nice Apura Cup in Carcar City.

Adlawan may be a gracious host to his Danish teammates, but in the racetrack, he is all business.

This time Adlawan defeated Nicolai Winfield and Danni Haejris in the expert class.

Adlawan, who missed his target in another event, made up for his loss as he also won the pro title of MS Motosuit’s eighth leg over Dondon Yuson while Haejris got another third place finish.

Like Adlawan, Jessie Pineda also scored double victories in the novice open production and intermediate classes.

Pineda outsmarted John Flores for the top spot of the novice production as the returning Ian Reyes came out third.

In the intermediate division, Pineda outmaneuvered Jerven Lagrada while Flores wound up third.

On the other hand, Nikko Redulla bagged the local enduro title over Dong Batiquen while Ray Quirol dominated the open enduro class against James Mayol while Ayen Ledesma won the beginners’ open production over Nan Iso.

Actor Jordan Herrera also tried his luck in the beginner’s open production, but could only get the fourth place honors.

Joe Root was unstoppable in the executive A, Rossel Gungob in the executive B, and Butch Flores in the executive C division.

The Pepitos had a 1-2 finish in the peewee division with BJ on top and Regie at second place while RK Cuesta won the mini class 65 cc and Jingle Mayol in the mini 85 cc.

Underbone enthusiasts spearheaded by Jougie Basco also had a good time as a separate race for them was included in the event. (FREEMAN)
