SHS-Ateneo booters shine in Consolacion

CEBU, Philippines - Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu dominated not only the festival-type, but also the boys’14-under 11-a-side category of the 2nd Engineer’s Cup in Consolacion.

SHS-AdC humiliated the combined forces of host Consolacion and Danao forming the FC North United with a 3-0 victory in their class in this event also known as the Consolacion Fiesta Football Cup.

Two weeks ago, SHS-AdC bagged the boys' 14 title in the festival type event over Danao FC.

SHS-AdC’s Football Dads also had the time of their lives after winning against XP International, 1-0 in the 38-above category.

SHS-AdC, however, missed a triple victory when its female bets bowed down to San Roque Football Club via penalty shoot-out, 2-1.

Kronos FC-A also made their presence felt after winning the men’s open 7-a-side action, 2-1 also via penalty shoot-out over San Roque Royale United.

Earlier, Canduman FC won the players’ 6 and 8 and boys’ 12, San Roque Football Club in the boys’10, and Stream FC-A in the inter-company category against 28 other entries from other call centers and MEPZ locators.

A total of 145 teams participated in the said event organized by Engr. Nilo Ferraren. – (FREEMAN)
