CEBU, Philippines - Veteran runner Riez Enriquez and the little-known Marichu Luterte topped the 3rd St. Theresa’s College’s "MOVE with Air' footrace yesterday at the STC grounds.
Enriquez ruled the men’s 10K action with the time of 36 minutes and 32.62 seconds. Ian Bernido placed second in 36:37.10, while Roger Saldo landed third in 38:32.13.
Luterte came out the fastest in the distaff side with the time of 45:23.76. Joery Lee took the second place honors in 48:20.11 followed by Pamela Luterte in 51:25.61.
In the STC 10K category, Jaybon Hondus lorded it over with a 43:59.24 clocking. Bro. Carlo Bacalla wound up second in 51:25.02, while Anthony Morrion ended up third in one hour and 41.62 seconds.
Emeralde Hermosilla clinched the STC 5K title with the time of 24:41.14. She edged out Lalinka Yu who posted the time of 29:55.76 as Humility Igaña got the third spot in 33:45.02.
In the regular 5K class, Jhean Andrin and Gabriel Zabate took home the crowns. Andrin finished in 21:27.90 to win the girls open followed by Lynlie Cardenas (21:54.89) and Kisha Delechos (22:54.83).
Zabate dominated the men’s bracket in 17:31.21, while the second and third placers were Meljune Luterte (17:36.71) and Kenneth Cabantan (19:01.65). - THE FREEMAN
