Yaw-Yan fighters shine in Talisay Muay-Thai tilt

- Lemuel P. Maglinte -

CEBU, Philippines - Four Yaw-Yan ArDigma practitioners hurdled their respective assignments in the 2nd Redneos Iron Gladiator’s Muay-Thai qualifying match the other day at the Talisay City plaza.

It was a clean sweep for the boys of Yaw-Yan ArDigma founder Master Benigno “Ekin” R. Caniga, Jr., with all of them scoring knockout victories.

Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) fighter Mark “Buhawi” Revalde led Yaw-Yan's charge as he forced John Edu “Excalibur” Torbiso to quit at the 1:15 mark of the second round.

Revalde used his furious kicks and aggressive ground game as he beat Torbiso to the pulp.

Undefeated Renan “Limbas” Noblefranca stopped Joselito “Kasag” Bellaniso of Sukmag Patid Ciniad Club in the second round courtesy of a brutal spinning back fist.

Roel “Akiyama” destroyed Anthony Bellaniso of Sukmag Patid Club in the first round, while Earl “Budoy” Surigao overpowered Freddie Gallarde of Black Skull Street Fighter on the way to a fine TKO win in the second round.

On the other hand, Jhonjer “Dangerous” Torbiso of Durex Dragon lost by unanimous decision against James “Shotgun” Roiles of Redneos Iron Gladiators.

Roiles teammate Shaun “Australian Bear” Jeffrey of Australia clobbered Carlo Ventic of Black Tiger Kick Boxing Club in the second round, while Roger Modesto escaped with a split decision victory against Ariane Castro of ATC Club.

Axel “Specialist” Torbiso made sure he will break into the winners' list despite his brother’s failure by pulling away with a unanimous decision victory against Jereboy Dela Vega of ATC Club. (FREEMAN)
