Kia Motors reaches finals in SHAABAA hoopla
CEBU, Philippines - Kia Motors/Whitegold kept its title retention bid in motion after it eliminated RDAK/Edcon, 73-67, to advance into the final round of the 2011 Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA)-Cebu Landmasters Cup at the SHS-AdC gym in Brgy. Canduman, Mandaue City.
Kia/Whitegold posted a 24-19 edge at the end of the first period, but RDAK/Edcon produced more points in the next quarter to cut the deficit to only two points at halftime, 35-37.
RDAK/Edcon tried to overtake Kia/Whitegold in the final half, but fell short with David Lim waxing hot anew for Kia Motors, charting a game-high 24 points spiked with four triples.
Kia Motors/Whitegold will face next the winner between Istorya.net and Dynamic Power/Dynacast for the best-of-three championship beginning this Sunday.
