CESAFI beach volley tourney kicks off this am
CEBU, Philippines - The third edition of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) beach volley event will kick off today at the Cebu White Sands Resort in Brgy. Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.
The two-day contest features only two squads in the women’s division and four in the men’s bracket.
Southwestern University’s Princess Anne Pido and Danika Yolanda Gendrauli hopes to dethrone the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) in the women's side. They will clash at 8 am.
In the men's action, the USPF Panthers will go up against the University of Cebu (UC), while the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) will clash head-on with the University of the Visayas (UV).
The rest of today's matches feature UV vs. USPF, UC vs. CIT-U, CIT-U vs. USPF and UV vs. UC.
Tomorrow, SWU will tackle USPF anew to be followed by by the crossover semifinals in the men’s division. - THE FREEMAN
