USC, USJ-R split games
CEBU, Philippines - The University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors played ungracious host to the University of San Jose- Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars by scoring a 72-62 victory and move closer to assuring themselves of a slot into the semifinals in the 11th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) basketball season, which shifted action to the USC gym last Saturday.

While the Warriors improved their win-loss record to 6-4, their younger counterparts were not as sharp as they lost to the USJ-R Baby Jaguars, 73-59.
Sam Hermosa and Michael Cantonao delivered for the Warriors with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
The Jaguars, who dropped to a very disappointing 1-8 win-loss record, were led by Jason Olbedado and Miguel Tabaloc with 16 points each.
Meanwhile, three Baby Jaguars spelled the difference against the Baby Warriors who are so dependent with Ian Ortega, the heart and soul of the latter's offense.
The Baby Jaguars now hold a 4-6 win-loss record, while the Baby Warriors sport a 2-8 win-loss card.
