Dragons feast on Greywolves

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons vented their ire against the smaller Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) Junior Grewywolves via an 88-57 rout in yesterday's high school match-up of the 11th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) basketball season at the Cebu Coliseum.  

Games tomorrow: (Cebu Coliseum)

1 pm SHS-AdC vs. CIT-U (Jrs.)

2:30 pm CEC vs. USC (Jrs.)

4 pm USJR vs. UC (Jrs.)

5:30 pm USC vs. SWU (Srs.)

The Dragons, who lost the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers were all business from start to finish giving DBTC no breathing room.

The Dragons, now 1-1 in the second round, improved their win-loss record to 7-3 overall. 

They could extend their winning run tomorrow when they go up against the University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors in one of three secondary games.   

Alfred Anecito Sedillo had seven triples en route to a topscoring 23 points as he engaged into a scoring contest against his teammate James Neil Sumayang, who drilled in 22 points.

They dominated the game from start to finish and were maintaining leads of at least 20 points in the second half.   

The Junior Greywolves, who fell to a 2-8 win-loss record, were led by Jose Marlo Pono who fired 16 points while Stephen Niere and Carmel Leix Mellijor added 12 points apiece.

In the lone collegiate match last night, the unbeaten University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters were gunning for their eighth consecutive win against the beleaguered University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) Jaguars who are toting a 1-6 win-loss card.     (FREEMAN)
