CEBU, Philippines - The Lexmark Stallions overpowered former champions Teletech Titans, 70-59, in the Cebu Powerade E-Leagues Basketball Tournament 2011 at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court.
Both camps started hot as Lexmark was just a point ahead at the end of the first quarter, 19-18.
At the end of the second half, the Titans took a hairline advantage, 28-27.
Things began to change for Lexmark in the third canto when the team slowly pulled away en route to the huge win.
Franco Cipriano paced the Stallions with 22 points while Mervin Balanasag and Felix Cleopas chipped in 15 and 11 points, respectively.
Sherwin Resilla and Lourenz Limpangog banged in 33 points combined for Teletech.
Defending champions, Aegis People Support Vipers, continued their winning streak after thrashing Accenture in dominating fashion, 87-71.
Clifford Amarado and Ryan Veloso powered the Vipers with 31 points combined with strong backing from Mark Anthony Rabuya, Glenn Nayon and John Louie Arriesgado.
Randy Bihag scored 25 points for Accenture.
Meanwhile, the Stream Blue Devils joined the winners’ circle after clobbering Eperformax Reds, 72-60, courtesy of Sylvester Millevo and Roderick Mangubat who amassed 24 and 22 markers, respectively.
