'Hurricane' to battle 'Terminator' in YFC V: Recompense

CEBU, Philippines - Kyle "The Hurricane" Co of Yaw-Yan ArDigma Martial Arts Federation is raring to go up against Mark "The Terminator" Araneta of Unified MMA Mandaue in the featured fight of "Recompense:Yaw-Yan ArDigma Fighting Challenge V" this Saturday night at the Cebu Coliseum.

Co, who had his MMA debut only two years ago, is now in the final phase of his training at the Yaw-Yan ArDigma Headquarters fronting the UC-Main Campus along in Sanciangko Street, this city.

The 25-year-old Co, who is known for his excellent stand-up and submission fighting style, will take on the hard-hitting Araneta for five rounds under the featherweight division.

Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu Founder/CEO and VisMin director Master Benigno “Ekin” R. Caniga, Jr., the man behind the fight card, said fight fans will surely get their dose of an explosive action as the two protagonists are well known to deliver a brutal finish to their previous opponents.

“I expect a good fight between Co and Araneta,” said Caniga. “Pulos sila maayo nga striker ug duha ray nakita nakong ending aning awaya. It's either by knockout or submission.”

Also set to put up an exciting show is the comebacking Engi “The Destroyer” Piloto, who will face Arthur "Spartan King" Barba of the Mindanao Unified Martial Arts (MUMA) for three rounds in a Yaw-Yan rule stand-up fight.

In the main event of kickboxing extravaganza, Renan "Limbas" Noblefranca, also of Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu, will lock up horns with Steve "D' Lightning" Sevilleno of the Cagayan de Oro City-based Team MUMA (Mindanao Unified Martial Arts.
