CEBU, Philippines - Jette Calderon has seized the lead in the race for the Karter of the Year honors of the 2011 Kartzone Karting Series here.
Calderon's victorious bid in the fourth leg powered him to the top spot of the KOY standings with 61 points.
Calderon overtook erstwhile leader Peterson Lim, who is now down by three points at second spot.
At third is JT Gullas with 50 points.
Aside from the KOY race, Calderon has also grabbed the lead from Gullas in the expert division's overall standing with 325 points.
Gullas has 311 while Joseph Rojo is at third spot with 245 points.
Lim, for his part, may have lost the lead in the KOY, but he remains the top rider under the master's division with an improve standing of 350 points against closest pursuer Panpan Reroma's 293 points.
In the novice division, Wilson Ong is on top with 226 points with Regan King trailing with 172 and Jed Binoya at third spot with 112. The three of them missed the fourth leg due to other obligations.
Vince Rojo leads the mini-ROK class with 311 points as Liam Roche stands behind with 260 points. (FREEMAN)
