Four Cebuanos sizzle in Green Archers judo tourney

CEBU, Philippines - Four fast-rising Cebuano judokas lived up to expectations as they collected three golds, a silver and two bronzes in the Green Archers Judo Championships at Las Salle Greenhills in Manila.

The young judokas were inspired to get medals, with the multi-titled Fernandez brothers Nonoy and Joaquin acting as their coaches.

Hazel Faye Laude of the University of Cebu earned a double gold through the open belt junior category and in the all-white action.

Another UC bet, Carriaga, handed a bronze in the junior belt and a gold in the all-white battle.

Doce Pares Judo Club’s Lea Sedoriosa grabbed a silver and Johannsen Quinio of the University of San Carlos wound up with a bronze in the all-white division.
