Fighters ready to rumble in Yaw-Yan event

CEBU, Philippines - Fighters from different martial arts clubs in the Vis-Min region are getting into peak form as the day of reckoning nears in the Yaw-Yan Cebu Ardigma Fighting Challenge (YFC 5): Recompense slated on August 6 at the Cebu Coliseum.

Aside from being a qualifying event for the Ground and Pound VI series, Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu founder Master Benigno 'Ekin' Caniga, Jr. bared that representatives from Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) will witness the event to scout for potential fighters.

"Motan-aw sila sa away and mag-scout sila for potential fighters para sa URCC," said Caniga.

Aside from Yaw-Yan Cebu Ardigma, the participating stables include Projectile Fit, Calma Stable, Rednios Gladiator MMA of Talisay, Soma Kickboxing, Arcom Jukai KBC, JR Grand MMA and Unified MMA of Mandaue and Yaw-Yan Musang, Durex KBC of Lapu-Lapu, Muay Thai Association of the Philippines- Dumaguete, Red Dragon MMA of Tagbilaran and Mindanao Unified Martial Arts of Cagayan de Oro City.

In the main event, Yaw-Yan ArDigma's Kyle 'The Hurricane' Co will go up against Mark ' The Terminator' Araneta of Team Unified MMA.

In the supporting bouts, Renan 'Limbas' Noblefranca and Danilo 'Alasan' Tudtud of Yaw-Yan Ardigma will take on Steve 'D Lightning' Sevilleno of Cagayan de Oro and Jijito 'Excalibur' Imbo of Team Durex KBC, respectively.
