Gullas, Lim share lead in KOY race
CEBU, Philippines - JT Gullas and Peterson Lim share the driver’s seat for the 'Karter of the Year' award with 40 points each.
The third leg victories by Gullas and Lim in their respective classes during the 2011 Kartzone Karting Series pushed them to the top of the totem pole.
Jette Calderon is breathing down their necks with 36 points.
Joseph Rojo is at fourth spot with 24 points, while Sean Velasco, Wally Lim, and Panpan Reroma are lagged at fifth with 12 points apiece.
On the other hand, Gullas also takes the lead in the expert’s class overall supremacy with 262 points. Calderon is at second with 232 points.
Lim spearheads the masters division with 275 points as against Reroma’s 214 points.
In the novice class, Wilson Ong is on top with 226 points followed by Regan King with 172 points and Jed Binoya with 112 points.
Vince Rojo leads in the mini-ROK division with 232 followed by Liam Roche with 180 points and Jarond Mesina with 149 points.
Meanwhile, the fourth leg of the year-long series is set on July 16 at Kartzone racetrack. (FREEMAN)
