Lexmark, Supportsave log wins

CEBU, Philippines - The Lexmark Stallions and Supportsave both secured another win after thrashing their respective opponents in the elimination round phase of the Cebu Powerade E-Leagues Basketball Tournament 2011 last Saturday at the City Sports Club.

Lexmark thumped Xlibris in dominating fashion, 85-35. Lexmark already had a 14-point lead at the half.

The gritty Stallions left the Publishers far behind in the third canto with a 31-6 run to gain an overwhelming, 68-29 advantage.

Seigfred Ofonda powered the Stallions with 23 points, while Nell Armamento and Roy Joseph Lanzaderas chipped in 11 points apiece.

Violeto Tan Jr. contributed 15 markers for Xlibris.

In the other match, Supportsave Dragons clobbered Kyocera Frontiers, 50-37, with John Hatague spearheading the squad’s triumph with 16 points.
