Fajardo, Robles shine in folding bike race

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Zandro Fajardo, one of Cebu's popular motocrosser-turned-businessman, and Irene Robles led the cast of winners in Cebu’s first folding bike race which was part of the Road Revolution at Cebu Doctors Hospital grounds.

Fajardo, owner of OZ Racing, reigned supreme in the 16-inch with gear category over Delfin Delfin as Juvie Pisanon came out third.

Robles, on the other hand, bested eight other contenders to emerge as the best female racer.

Robles was trailed by Marylove Vallena and Candice Mongaya.

In the 20-inch class, Kenneth Zafra claimed the top spot followed by Roger Vallena and Anne Marquez.

Vince Sta. Elena also showcased his skills well to rule the one-touch special race. He beat photojournalist-cyclist Allan Defensor by just a split of a second.

Jason Cobarde was the fastest in the children’s category followed by Shayra Andrea Servande and Angela Garganera.

Organized by Tindak Bisdak Cebu Folding Bike Society, the event was made possible through the support of OZ Racing and Habagat. – (FREEMAN)
