Basketball clinic in Lacion

CEBU, Philippines -  The summer basketball clinic backstopped by the municipality of Consolacion under the flagship of Mayor Teresa P. Alegado will kick off tomorrow at the Consolacion Sports Complex.

The month-long clinic will be spearheaded by Consolacion sports commissioner Hon. Paul Alelu Q. Flores, a former key player of the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws during his UAAP days a few years back.

The month-long clinic, which is offered to those who are interested for free, is open to hoop enthusiasts aged six to 13 years old.

Registration will end today. Those who are willing to join are advised to look for Louie Malagar at the gym from 9 am to 12 nn or contact 0923-4045411.

Aside from basketball, there is also a soccer training camp supervised by Councilor Nilo A. Ferraren.

The main purpose of the twin undertaking is to further harness the skills of aspiring young hoopsters and football fanatics from Consolacion.

The worthwhile sports development project is fully supported by Mayor Alegado in partnership with the Sanggunian Bayan members headed by Vice Mayor Aurelio Damole.  (FREEMAN)
