BLD holds Bicycle Fun Ride

CEBU, Philippines - Bicycle enthusiasts have something to look forward to as the Bukas Loob sa Diyos (BLD), a covenant community based in Cebu City, will organize a 'Bicycle Fun Ride' on May 22 starting at the Pag-ibig parking area and ending at the Talisay Sports Complex.

The fund-raising event is purely a tour ride open to everybody of any age. Participants will travel at a low speed of about 15 to 20 kilometers per hour with a distance of about 15 to 20 kilometers.

Proceeds will be intended for the construction of a covenant house situated in Sibonga south of Cebu .

The bike riders will cruise from Pag-ibig parking area to Ayala Center Cebu, Escario Street, Osmeña Boulevard , B. Rodriguez, V. Rama Avenue, N. Bacalso Avenue , Tabunok Talisay passing Sangi road then straight to Poblacion, Talisay City.

The organizers will provide speedcop, emergency mechanics and a medical team to ensure the safety of the participants.

Aside from free snacks, there will also be lots of giveaways. A brand new mountainbike and a BMX are up for grabs in the raffle draw.

Registration fee is pegged at P200. Entry forms are available in all bike shops and at the BLD secretariat.  – THE FREEMAN
