Tabal, Duenas Rule 12-k run

CEBU, Philippines - TRAINING partners Mary Joy Tabal and John Philip Duenas reign supreme in yesterday's Run For A Child's Future at APM Mall here.

Tabal dominated the women's 12-kilometer run with a time of 48 minutes and 58.96 seconds.

Christy Sevilleno-Tutor trailed Tabal with 52:13.93 clocking while Madelyn Carter landed third with 53:21.74.

In the men's side, Duenas confident enough that no one can beat Tabal, zoomed to the first place honors with 42:03.18.

Duenas outsmarted Jordan Bacong and Adonis Singson for the top spot by a couple of seconds with Bacong ending at second place with his 42:11.66 and Singson at third place with 42:11.97.

Mary Grace de los Santos avoided another humiliation from Tabal as she opted for the 6-k run where she won the first place in 23:42.88 as against Joery Lee's 25:40.53 and Jhean Andrin at third spot with 26:30.47.

Little-known Bonifacio Monjas dominated the men's 6-k with 20.22.10 as against Aldren Agang's 20:38.30 while Reprinel Banzon ending third with 20:53.05.

The 3-k run which is intended for runners 12 years old and under saw Marky Lucero winning the boy's division while Crizel Diongson won the girls' division in 11:36.82.

Behind Lucero were Jiovanny Adlawan and Joey Lee Jr. while in the distaff side, the next two spots belong to Lovely Fe Andrin and May Jeameka Tenio in this event organized by the Child Health Information Leaders for Development Network (CHILDREN) Incorporated and officiated by the Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE). – THE FREEMAN
