CBA caging second round fires off today

CEBU, Philippines -  Slumping teams Asian College of Technology (ACT) Cyber Knights and Hotel Fortuna are again pitted against each other at the start of the second round of elimination in the 1st M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Basketball Association (MLKP-CBA) season today at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Cyber Knights will be bannered by grizzled veterans in the likes of Alano Caputolan, Ronaldo Bucao, Milfred Sampelo, Abe Galinato, Bernie Ursal and John Villaver, while the Hoteliers will rely on Aard Evan Diango, Clefoford Maguate, Chris Litorja, Ritxie Jalandoni, Jeffrey Pria and Vernini Tangarorang.

In the preliminary match, the Ave Maria Sanctuary Park seeks to keep the solo second place as they take on the Mandaue-Cebu Landmasters, whom they shackled, 88-81, the first time they met.

Ave Maria will count on Jercules Tangkay, Danny Aying, Alex Cainglet, Ope Abellana, Gerry Cavan and Enrico Llanto, while the Landmasters are expected to squeeze the most from Reggie Licanda, Kelvin Juliane, Franklin Lailon, Joever Samonte, Frangel Omolon, Elvis Labares and Jerwin Espina among others.
