SHS-Ateneo vs. USJ-R in NBTC cage final

CEBU, Philippines - The Pier 1-sponsored Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu and the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJR) Baby Jaguars backed by Ave Maria Sanctuary Park knocked off separate rivals to set up a title showdown in the Seao Oil-National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Elite Cup at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

The Eaglets scored a three-game semifinal sweep and eliminated the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons, 74-59, while the Baby Jaguars booked the remaining final ticket after terminating USC-North Campus, 72-63.

Dawn Henric Ochea had 14 points for the Eaglets, while the Baby Jaguars were led by Roland Agustin Hermosilla and Rendell Thomas Senining with 15 and 14 points, respectively.  (FREEMAN)
