Tabal, Bacong dominate first My Chase Run
CEBU, Philippines - Mary Joy Tabal once again overpowered Mary Grace de los Santos in the first My Chase Run at the Asiatown IT Park in Brgy. Apas, this city.
Tabal won the women’s 15-kilometer action after crossing the finish line in an hour, a minute and 32 seconds.
Delos Santos could only get into the second spot in :02.32 as Christy Sevilleno-Tutor wound up third with the time of 1:07.39. Rose Marie Adlawan and former RP weightlifter Emily Rosas occupied the next two spots.
Jordan Bacong pulled some surprises after he outpaced early favorites in the men’s open with his 52 minutes clocking as Singson grabbed the second spot in 52:18 and Jess Gonzaga at third place in 52:22. Mendel Lopez could only get the fourth spot with the time of 52:53 and Clifford Carolino at fifth in 56:11.
On the other hand, Naga Flying Bats' Alvirg Busa and Jean Andrin dominated the 6K race with the time of 21:08.18 and 25:51.13, respectively. –(FREEMAN)
