MP, MJDL score in CCUPA cage tourney

CEBU, Philippines - The Marty Pimentel (MP) Customs Brokerage needed only two crucial defensive stops in the dying seconds to escape with a 46-43 victory over the CEBAMA Brokers last Saturday in the 1st Cebu Customs United Personeros Association (CCUPA) basketball tournament at the Brgy. Cogon Ramos gym.

In the opening match, the MJDL Brokers defeated the Alin Customs Brokerage, 76-61.

Vincent Pangue was the only Pimentel player who managed to finish in double figures with 10 points.

Earlier, Jaymar Elloren topscored for MJDL with 17 points even as Janus Abellana and Baeng Medalle added 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Alin was led by Ryan Villomo with 18 points, team owner Israel Alin added 11 points and Neil Jun Egpit had 10 markers.
