OMKI, Ernest Jay survive foes in FYA caging
CEBU, Philippines - Two more new teams went off to sizzling starts in the 3rd F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) basketball tournament at the Sitio Manggahan open court in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.
In the opener, the OMKI Megavolts escaped with a 58-54 victory over Matthew, while Ernest Jay scored a 63-58 win against Orillaville.
Loloy Orbita was the only Megavolts player to score in double figures with 12.
Dodong Cabigas had 19 points followed by Danny Cañete with 10 for Matthew.
On the other hand, Toper Limbaga and Maclean Alcueno scattered 18 and 12 points, respectively, for Ernest Jay of team owner Baeng Medalle.
Former UC Webmasters off-guard Daniel Enriquez and Bunot Taboada paced Orillaville with 14 points apiece. (GGM)
