Abarquez vs. Abadia in DRB tennis final

CEBU, Philippines - Title favorites Israel ‘RJ” Abarquez and Kennex Abadia knocked out separate foes to secure championship tickets in the 1st DRB Men’s Tennis Open yesterday at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.

The topseeded Abarquez thumped Jude Tabotabo , 6-1, 6-3, while Kennex Abadia easily dismantled Francis Largo to proceed into the final round.

The champion will receive P10,000, while the first runner-up will take home P5,000. The semifinalists and quarterfinalists will get P2,500 and P1,500, respectively.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
