CEBU, Philippines - The Red-Barkadas dumped White-Joules, 93-82, to rule the Los Amigos Basketball Association (LABA) Inter-Color basketball tournament the other night at the Banilad Sports Complex.
Earlier, the Black-Snipers settled for third place after defeating the Yellow-Bombers, 114-104.
There was already no doubt as to who would emerge victorious after Red built a commanding 22-point lead at halftime, 53-31, thanks to the early explosion of Donald Diaz, Fredo Dakay and Merot Ygoña who combined 29 of the team's 34 points in the second period.
White outscored Red in the third period, 30-18, and then pulled within just four points, 71-75, midway in the final operiod on a basket by center Dodoy Rizane with still 5:52 left to play, but that was the closest they could come.
Diaz and Dakay topscored for Red with 18 points each for Red, while Ygoña added 12 markers.
White was led by Rizane and Jun Perolino with 21 points apiece, while Roy Yamomo and Nestor Lagaras added 17 points each.
