TCC table netters place second in Manila

CEBU, Philippines – Team Cebu City's table paddlers placed second overall in the 3rd National Table Tennis Championships recently in Metro Manila.

The two championship titles it snatched in the boys 18 and 14-under powered the Cebuanos of coach Jessica Jawad-Honoridez to their overall rankings.

The 18-under squad is composed of Dannel Jay Tormis, Val Stephen Jaca, Jean Phillipe J. Honoridez and Lemuel Agbon, while the 14-under team is manned by Jann Mari Nayre, Gerardo Heredia, Stanley Heredia, and Kent Edwin Abellanosa.

Vence Flores' claiming the first-runner honors in the boys 18-under also helped their cause, so as the bronze bagged by the men's collegiate team of Jovein Anoos, Darbet Tripoli, Dannel Jay Tormis, Ralph Jason Reales and Zeus Comaingking.

Their women's counterparts Jennifer Jacalan, Elonna Dane Tormis and Jerny Kaye Pepito also took bronze in the same way with Elonna Dane Tormis, Jerny Kaye Pepito, Athena Comaingking and Jeramae Saromines in the girls 18-under. (FREEMAN)
