Lite Shipping hands FAL first defeat

CEBU, Philippines - Lite Shipping of team owner Niño Imboy handed FAL Shipping its first loss in the Lucio “Guy” Lim, Sr. Memorial basketball tournament, 87-58, at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.

Earlier, the Cebu Movers System (CMS) of playing coach Dr. Boy Te demolished Aisle Marine Services, 83-67.        

Pointguard Jericho Cortes of CMS is no longer allowed to play as proof had been established that he is not in any way connected with the CMS and was not declared as import as well.

Allan Cabral led Lite Shipping with 23 points and Imboy fired 16 points including four triples even as Dante Elim and Eming Batarilan added 15 and 10 points, respectively, as they notched their fifth win in as many starts.

FAL Shipping, which dropped to 3-1, had Eric Mondejar scoring 21 points.

Meanwhile, Franco Te and Juanito Sasing each scored 22 points for the CMS, while Inting Reyes had 13 followed by Joselito Ocampo with 12. (THE FREEMAN)
