AMBL, M'daue in JBA semis

CEBU, Philippines - The AMBL/ACDC Siteworks, Phils. and JCI-Mandaue thrashed separate rivals to advance into the semifinals of the JBA second season at the City Sports Club-Cebu.

The AMBL devoured the undermanned Mang Inasal, 94-83, while JCI-Mandaue crushed the Savers Home Depot, 128-85, behind a 49-explosion by Michael Cinco.

Riding high on their furious outside shooting, ace point guard Lito Navarro and Chito Hernandez, the two vital components of their offense, need not to score much because ex-Lancer Jaymar Canoy also had a big night scoring 22 points.

Heintjie Cabo added 18 points for AMBL, while team manager Allan Lim added 14.

On the other hand, JCI-Mandaue had seven of its nine players cashing in double figures led by Joshua Lerio and Glenn Cabiluna with 43 points combined. (THE FREEMAN)
