Visiting riders dominate Keiz BJ motocross tourney

CEBU, Philippines - Dondon Yuson and Kimboy Piñeda made their latest visit to Cebu worthwhile by dominating the 2010 Keiz BJ Motocross Invitational Tournament in Brgy. Caduawan, Tabogon.

Yuson outsmarted Jon-Jon Adlawan for the top spot in the experts division, while Pineda wound up third.

Pineda likewise stamped his class as he edged out Adlawan to snatch the pro open crown. This time, Yuson landed third.

John Flores, a favorite local rider like Adlawan, grabbed the novice open title over Clark Wagas, while Dexter Bacabac wound up third.

Bacabac though got what he wanted by defeating event host Seigfred Ornopia as the fastest entry in the executive A class, while Roman Llorente landed third.

Seifred’s sons, however, made a big impact to cope up with their father's setback. Kerry Keizer and Ken Kerry Ornopia posted a 1-2 finish in the peewee below-7 category.

Kerry Keizer also topped the peewee special limited edition over Peewee Galla to give their mom Ellen a timely birthday present.

Not to be outdone, Earl Jean Brylle clinched a champion’s trophy through the mini class 85cc. Jovele Basco placed second followed by James Mayol.

Brylle also finished second in the mini class 65cc won by JP Cuesta.

Mayol bounced back by ruling the local enduro class over Dongdong Batiquin and Alex Abalo.

Arvin Montejo, for his part, came up with a double victory through the wanggits and habal-habal showdown.

The beginners action saw Amboy Antiga on top, while the executive B title went to Russel Gungob and the executive C to Bobong Baluyos.

In the special category for 'gay' riders, Sonny Girl Largosa came out the fastest. John Rell “Mystica” Lepiten took the second place honors followed by Roy “Roro” Lopez, Lady Bong Gopio and Moritz Toling Jeremiah. — THE FREEMAN
