Cebu Movers hands FAL first loss

CEBU, Philippines – The Cebu Movers System (CMS) of playing coach Dr. Boy Te handed FAL Shipping its first loss in style - a 90-65 demolition that assured them of a twice-to-beat advantage going into the second round of the Lucio "Guy" Lim Sr. Memorial Basketball Tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

In the opener, Megapaint finally barged into the win column at the expense of the Aisle Marine, 84-77.

Juanito Sasing topscored for CMS with 24 points, while Jericho Cortes banged in 21 markers. Te's son Franco also scored in double figures with 13.

Earlier, Arnel Momo scored 27 for Megapaint, while Robert Pantilag added 22 points.

Barry Ledesma amassed 30 points for Aisle Marine even as former UV Lancer Mark Anthony Manigque added 19. (FREEMAN)
