Pink October Run set tomorrow

CEBU, Philippines – The first running event for this month unfolds tomorrow morning with the staging of the 4th Pink October Run at Ayala Center-Cebu's Terraces here.

Over a thousand runners from all over Cebu are set to see action in this event which features races for distances of 3, 5 and 10 kilometers.

Doctors and other medical professionals are also expected to see action again after last month's final race, the World Hearts' Day Run.

This year's battle supported by the Ayala Center-Cebu, PCS-CEV,

ICanServe Cebu along with Can With God, Cancer Care Network, Cebu Breast

Assocation, Cebu Cancer Fight, Kahayag along with the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente, Rotaract Clubs of Cebu Fuente-Commbased and USC Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris, Rotary Club Cebu Capitol North and Cebu West will be for the benefit of the PCS-CEV Breast Clinic's outreach program.

After this event, other running events lined up for the month include the Run to the Max Series 3: Conquer the Hill-Capture the Flag on October 9 at the Holiday Gym and Spa in Banilad then the 2nd Eagle Run-Blackout on October 16 at the Cebu Doctors' University in Mandaue City.

On October 24, there will be two events also set to take place with the staging of the UAP-Cebu Get-Up-And-Go Green Run at the Asiatown IT Park in Apas and the St.Peter Run at SM City-Cebu. (FREEMAN)
