CEBU, Philippines - Speed demon Jong King became the saving grace of Team No Care Racing (NCR) by recording the third fastest time during the third leg of the 2010 Philippine Autocross Championship Series (PACS) recently at the South Road Properties.
Driving his favorite Subaru spiked with Maxxis Tires, King gamely negotiated the treacherous race course to finish behind top placer David G. Lim and Mato Tan, both of Team DGL.
Overall, King collected five trophies, including two first-place finish in the modified C and Subaru class.
Philip Khan “Lik-Lik” Lim also took home a champion’s trophy via the Toyota GP Turbo class, while Bobby Pangilian wound up third.
Eric Canama settled for second place in the novice stock C, Norris See was third in the Toyota Auto Club-Cebu, while Alan “Big Al” G. Choachuy could only make it to third place in the novice modified B category.
The NCR drivers came in third in the team race category. Team DGL and Kartzone dominated almost all other categories, while the one-day tilt ended up with a drifting exhibition by David Lim.
