Pitogo scores twin kill in Consolacion fiesta cagefest
CEBU, Philippines - Hardcourt warriors from Pitogo scored a twinkill in the continuing action of the 1st Mayor Teresa P. Alegado Cup Consolacion Fiesta Basketball League at the newly-refurbished Consolacion Sports Complex.
Pitogo escaped with a 57-54 victory over Lamac in the Inter-Barangay category, while its counterparts in the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) division trounced Polog, 75-43.
In the other games, Casili hacked out a 74-67 ewin over Danglag, Tayud nipped Pulpogan, 70-59, while Jugan topped Nangka, 75-72.
The two-month tournament is supervised by executive committee chairman Julius Alegado, sports director Nilo Ferraren, Association of Barangay Council (ABC) president Gelio Maquilan and SK Federation chairperson Madel Hyacinth Herrera. The technical aspect is handled by sports commissioner Paul Alelu Q. Flores, a former star of FEU Tamaraws during his UAAP days.
