Cebu World Dancesport Open today

CEBU, Philippines - Seasoned dance athletes from different countries will be facing the country’s best and upcoming athletes for the one-day dancefloor action.

Countries seeing action include Bulgaria, Turkey, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea and Philippines.

Aside from the top RP bets, there are competitors from Metro Manila, Makati, Pasay, Pasig, Baguio, Tacurong, Sarangani, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga, General Santos, Davao, Dumaguete and the well-known Dancesport-Team Cebu City.

Although DTCC is spearheading the event, they are also expected to perform well.

Cebu City Sports Commission chairman Edward Hayco, who is also the godfather of dancesport, told The FREEMAN earlier that DTCC will definitely be out to reap honors too.

DTCC will be fielding in a complete cast, from the premiere class down to the juvenile battle.

Hayco said local followers of dancesport should watch the event from start to finish as there are so many youngsters now showing great potentials to become big stars in dancesport one day.

The event is supported by the Cebu City government, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, M.
