Pink Tee golfest set October 8

CEBU, Philippines – The service-oriented members of Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente in coordination with the Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (CCBI) is sponsoring the 2nd Pink Tee Golf tournament on October 8 at the Cebu Country Club in Brgy. Kasambagan, this city.

The sports activity by the RCC Fuente is intended to raise funds for the Chong Hua Hospital-Department of Surgery and Charity Services to help finance the patients having breast cancer considering that October is declared Cancer Prevention Month.

In line with the celebration, the theme of this year's golf tournament is " Pink it Forward, Swing for a Cause."

The organizers from both the RCC Fuente and the CCBI held a press conference yesterday at the office of Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu district Collector Ronnie Silvestre attended by the members of the working committee that include Jessie Baring, Dinna Ramos,Rady Abarintos, Mary Ann Alcordo, Alfredo Lanticse and Ding Abay-abay.

Silvestre said as of the moment, they are already hitting the targeted budget to launch the golfing activity. The awarding of prizes to the winners will also be held at the Cebu Country Club.

The organizers are planning to invite singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid and actor-comedian Anjo Ylana to grace the event. Both are golf enthusiasts.

Prizes for the hole-in-one include a Foton Bizzard, a golf cart, a Daihatsu and a motorcycle. (FREEMAN)
