CEBU, Philippines - Reigning ‘Rider of the Year’ Jon-Jon Adlawan posted back-to-back victories after ruling the sixth leg of the 2010 MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed as 3rd Mayor Maria Luisa J. Loot Motocross Competition in Daanbantayan over the weekend.
Adlawan defeated the visiting Kimboy Piñeda of Davao for the top spot as another fast-rising rider Paolo Inoc wound up third.
Adlawan, however, fell short in his bid for a twinkill as he only placed third in experts class behind Piñeda and Inoc.
Daanbantayan’s pride BJ Pepito, Jr. did not let his hometown fans down as he topped the pewee and the mini 65cc class.
Clark Wagas lorded it over in the intermediate division, while Dongkey Sanchez shone brightly in the local enduro and open enduro categories.
Cyril Tariman bagged the novice open title, Jojie Basco came out the fastest in mini 85cc bracket and Wilbert Maraño dominated the beginners open.
The executive division winners were Jun Enriquez (A), Nelson Sicad (B), and Dandan Gastador (C).
The event was made possible through the support of philantropist Mariquita Salimbangon-Yeung, Cebu 4th District Rep. Benhur Salimbangon, Provincial Board Member Sun Shimura, Castrol Power One and the municipality of Daanbantayan. — THE FREEMAN
